Relief / Recovery for the flood affected communities
The monsoon spells since July 2022 has caused widespread flooding and has led to extensive human and infrastructure damage across many parts of Pakistan. Sindh province is affected most adversely by heavy rainfall and resultant flooding in Pakistan which reported 405 deaths and 1074 severe injuries. Around, 896,084 houses have been damaged along with roads , villages and infrastructure.
Crisis Impact: How Floods Leave Communities Hungry and Jobless
A humanitarian crisis of this type has left children, women and girls more impoverished, leading to issues such as food insecurity, homelessness and physical weakness even after months and have made it extremely hard for the communities to access livelihood and employment opportunities leading to widespread unemployment and poverty and an inability to cope with the crises arising after floods.
